After the victory in the Sprint Relay, PWT Italy archived a new Italian ELITE title at the 3 days of Livigno: it was once again the turn of Inderst, who repeated the result of 2021 in Collepietra (BZ), becoming Italian Long Distance Champion 2023. On a hard day, alternating between rain and cloud, the men’s race saw Inderst win by 8 seconds over Debertolis (Primiero); third place for Ticino’s Ren. The course was set up by the event organisers over a distance of 10.25 km and 605 m of climbing.

The words of Sebastian: “I have definitely recovered from the flu, I felt good during the race and ran a stable race from the start. I worked hard for this result and I am really happy to be back in shape for this appointment. For PWT Italy it’s a great result, I’m pleased to contribute to the prestige of our team in the Italian field!

Gabriele Viale: “For PWT Italia it is the 27th title, it is a great satisfaction to win again with Inderst the title in the queen speciality of orienteering. Sebastian confirms himself as a great champion, replicating the result of Collepietra in 2021, leading a safe race from the start. He is a great example for the team, showing how his great will power can be rewarded with extraordinary results. The results we bring home reward the whole team, from the athletes to the whole machine behind us!

The victory in today’s race grants Sebastian direct access to the WOC 2023, which will take place in Flims Laax (SUI) from 11th to 16th July 2023.
