PWT Italia unstoppable
Italian Sprint Relay Champion 2023
In wonderful Livigno, the Vicenza team does not give way to Polisportiva Masi and adds to the rich medal table the 26th tricolor in 8 years of history.
The best Italian relay on Sprint distance is once again one by PWT Italia. In Livigno the dream team formed by Annarita Scalzotto, Sebastian Inderst, and Riccardo Scalet does not disappoint the expectations and confirms its supremacy on the national scene, despite the physical form of his team athletes were not at the top.
In 47′.20′ the boys led by Team Manager Gabriele Viale overtook the Emilians of Polisportiva Masi (Caterina De Nardis, Giacomo Zagonel and Francesco Mariani) with a time of 47′.57′. The third step of the podium for the US Primiero (Anna Pradel, Mattia Debertolis, and Paride Gaio) in 48′.43′.
A comeback performance, with Annarita Scalzotto playing delayed, which then saw the recovery of Inderst finalized by Scalet.
“I’m not very satisfied with my performance – declares Annarita Scalzotto – Several mistakes in the middle of the race, made me lose the lead and I suffered from the altitude. I am in any case very happy with the team result”.
“Stable race, physically still recovering from the influence of the seventh – comments Sebastian Inderst – but thanks to a clean performance I was able to complete a good recovery”.
“I don’t have the strength to sprint – concludes Riccardo Scalet – but I tried to race to catch up on the leaders, once reached I remained passive for a while and then I attacked at 3/4 of the race”.
Yesterday’s victory signed the 26th Elite Italian Championships Title for Park World Tour Italia.
